LIGHT INTERCEPTING TRANSFER DEVICE (LITD®) increases the surface area available to intercept directional sunlight then transfers the light down the tubing. The result is increased light input and increased light output.
RAYBENDER® TECHNOLOGY is a patented feature in Solatube's UV and impact resistant dome. The Raybender lens intercepts light that is in the direct path and redirects it down the tube at a steeper angle so less light is lost in transfer absorption.

Need to light a small space, such as a bathroom, hallway, closet or home office? Choose our compact 10" Solatube. Use the 14" Solatube to bathe your larger living areas in sunlight. It's perfect for kitchens, stairwells and entryways. For more expansive areas, use either size in multiples for a unique architectural lighting effect.
Flashing options
Solatube offers flashing kits for fast and easy installations on nearly all roof types and pitches. When installed correctly, these flashing kits provide complete protection and an attractive appearance on your roof.
Shingle or Slake
Use the pitched metal flashing for asphalt or fiberglass shingles, shake or other thin roofing materials. Use on roofs with 4:12 up to 12:12 pitches.
Tile
Use the tile roof add-on kit in conjunction with the standard pitched metal flashing for all tile profiles.
Flat Roofs
Use the no pitch metal flashing for flat roofs and roofs with pitches up to 3:12. (Available in 4" and 6" high flashings).
Curb Mount Flashing
For use on pitched or flat roofs, this flashing may be used with any pre-built wood or manufactured metal curb.

The 10" Solatube is available with an optional Ventilation Add-on Kit, which is designed for style and performance. When the 10" Solatube is combined with this innovative accessory, the 2-in-1 ceiling fixture minimizes the number of ceiling fixtures for a more attractive ceiling.

Light transmission inside de tube depends on specular reflectance of coating material covering the inside of the tube and on the incidence angle of solar radiation.
